Activities

1. CITA has signed an MOU with M/S Codequotient, Mohali to enhance employability and technical skills of the students.
2. CITA has also been involved in infrastructure development of the university under which CITA has renovated (through open tender) the Conference room adjoining to the officer of Registrar and a Conference room in the Dean’s building.
3. CITA successfully conducted following 3 online Summer Internship Courses during Covid Lockdown period for students from all over India:
   • Data Structure
   • Web Development
   • Cloud Computing
   
   A total of 120 student (i.e 40 students for each course) were enrolled in the above 3 courses through a rigorous process of an online examination. These 120 students were selected out of a list of 1872 students who took online test for selection.
4. CITA has also successfully completed a Full Stack Software Development Bootcamp course during a period of 12th October 2020 to 23rd January 2021 for 50 students, who were selected on the basis of a mandatory Pre-Course offered to all registered candidates followed by an entrance test conducted in collaboration with Codequotient, Mohali.
5. CITA is presently under the process to start a full fledged 12 months Industry oriented program namely industry linked “Industry Integrated Program in Software development (IIPSD)” which will have a 4-months theory classes and hands on practice followed by an 8-month industry internship connected to employment of students.
6. CITA is also under process of having an association with IBM for having some core industry oriented technical and strategic value addition courses in the following core areas:
   • Data Sciences
   • Artificial Intelligence
   • Machine Learning
   • Cyber Security
